  • Vancouver to Tofino, British Columbia

If you are flying in from another city or travelling from Vancouver, the Vancouver to Tofino tour is a great place to start a road trip. You can move from Horseshoe Bay to the Namaimo by ferry, then drive on the Pacific Rim Highway to enjoy the scenic windy drive along the lakes, mountains whilst enjoying the ancient temperate rainforest. If you are lucky enough, you can even get to see bears.

You can makes stops along the way to check out the Coombs Country market where you can find plenty locally made souvenirs. You can also take a walk through the Cathedral Grove where you can find real Douglas Fir Trees that are more than 800 years old.

Just before Tofino, which is the Capital for Surfing in Canada, you will pass through Ucluelet. Here, you can take your time to enjoy some of the biggest waves or the laid-back vibes. If you have a couple of days to spend, you can surf some before moving along the coast to Tofino Relais and Chateaux where you will get to see real surfing as it is done in the world-famous Chester Beach. You will also see whale activities, fishing and hiking.

From downtown Vancouver to Whistler is about a 2-hour drive along the Sea to Sky highway. This highway has as magnificent outlook of the Coast Mountains and Howe Sound. Many who have been on this road described the drive as one of the most beautiful in North America. Just as you drive down the Sea to Sky Highway which is between mountains and oceans, you can stop at any of the several viewpoints to breath in the fresh air or behold the beauty of the highway.

You can make a stop at Shannon falls and enjoy the nice meal at the Watershed Grill. This grill has a large patio that overlooks the Squamish River.

  • Calgary to Lake Louise, Alberta

You can start with a tour of the city of Calgary and get to see the famous Calgary Stampede as well as the site of the 1998 Olympic Games.
