Getting Permanent Residency through Canadian Express Entry

The number of Canadian Express Entry candidates that are being given Invitations to Apply for immigration to Canada has spiked once again and this is the second time it is happening in only eight days. On October 19, about 1,804 candidates got the Invitation to Apply for the Canadian Permanent Residence. These were candidates that managed to have 475 CRS points or more, that’s down from 484 CRS points that was used in the October 12 draw. In the pool, about 1,518 ITAs were given out to candidates.
Altogether, the latest draws represent the largest spike in the number of candidates that will be given Invitation to Apply ever since the system was first introduced in January, 2015. Only about 2 months ago, the draw sizes were within the range of 750 ITAs per given draw. Now, invited persons and candidates are like are looking forward to a system that has just gone into an overdrive, with larger and larger draws, lower CRS requirements and a range of functional and active Provincial Nominee Program categories which are attracting candidates in the pool.
Also, the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is planning to issue more ITAs even as the end of 2016 approaches just to be able to meet the annual intake level target. This was revealed recently in Edmonton by an IRCC representative and from the look of things, those predictions are becoming a reality.
